January 6, 2009 - Happy New Year! (39 Weeks)

This New Year's Eve was the first in a long time when I've been awake to welcome in the new year. We BBQ'd with our neighbors Martha and Jim and shared the countdown with them and Anthony. Yes, Anthony was awake. He normally sleeps through the night but woke up since he'd fallen asleep earlier than usual. Baby Daniel was fast alseep. After we all kissed, we went in to kiss our sleeping angel.
On Sunday we went to Disneyland with some of Daniel's clan. It was a last minute plan. Although there was much to be done at home and school starting the following day, we got the boys ready and ran out the door. Neat freak that I am, I had to remind myself, "Memories are more important than messy beds." It was their first time at Disneyland, so we had to get them the personalized ears (as did Mommy). They also received a "My 1st Visit" pin. They were oblivious to where we were but who cares. They got on the pirates ride and also enjoyed the many lights once it got dark. They LOVE lights!!!! I wanted to do the Small World ride, but the line was unfortunately ridiculous. After our long day, we ate at Denny's and headed home around 10:30. I sure was tired my first day back at work, but I will do anything for my princes (as would Daddy!)

Good shot of the fam @ Disneyland! My hat's off to you for even venturing over there when the world is on vacation... After we went a few years ago and made it on a snively few rides, I said never again during the holidays!

PS - You listed this blog as Dec 6 instead of Jan. It's hard to get into the new year swing, huh?? (PS - Jan 6 was Grandma Edna's bday...)

Hope you got my message - sorry I'm such a flake! ♥M
