January 26, 2010 - Mima's Package (94 Weeks)

Mima (my mama) sent us a package containing all kinds of presents. Anthony and Daniel had fun ripping open the packages. Anthony has figured out that paper goes in the garbage. Daniel and I watched in awe as he walked over to the garbage, popped the lid, and put the wrapping paper in. We now have to constantly check that things that aren't garbage don't wind up in there.
These two love to hide in their bedroom closet. They love sliding the doors and calling out to us. We pretend that we don't know where they are and quickly pop our faces in the closet. This causes high pitched squeals to erupt and them to run to the opposite side of the closet. How easily amused they are.

January 19, 2010 - First Lollipop (93 Weeks)

Daddy likes to go to a local barber to get his haircut. He was off to get a haircut on Saturday, so I decided why not get the boys done, too. Little Daniel did much better this time. Anthony, on the other hand, shed quite a few tears again. What can one expect? It was only the second haircut after all. Once the barber gave them the lolliop, things seemed to go much more smoothly. They sure enjoyed those lollipops. We've never given candy to them, so this was a definite treat. I made a mental note to self for next time: Must give lollipop immediately upon getting into chair!

January 5, 2009 - Celebrating Our Last First Date (91 Weeks)

This week we took the boys to eat at the place where it all began for Daniel and me four years ago: Senor Big Ed's in Cypress. There is nothing special about the place by any means. It is a little hole in the wall restaurant that serves Puerto Rican(and Mexican) food. It seemed apropos for us to meet there for our blind date being that we are both Puerto Rican. Maybe it was the nostalgic smell of mom's kitchen as we entered the door. Maybe it was the magic of being New Year's Eve. Whatever the case, it will always be a special place for us because it was there that our last first date happened.
*It amazes me that with all the toys these two have, their favorites seem to be the simple things: pots and pans, sofa cushions, and tupperware.
