December 31, 2012 - Goodbye 2012! Hello 2013!

It was a very full year!  Looking forward to the adventures of 2013!

December 28, 2012 - Ice, Ice, Baby!

Pershing Square in Downtown LA has an ice skating rink set up for the holidays.  Daddy wanted to skate, but being that his foot is still on the mend, it was better that he didn't join us on the ice; instead, he played photographer :) To skate with the boys without an extra pair of hands proved to be a labor of Hercules.  We all bit it several times but got right back up. My pride wasn't too wounded since the likelihood of ever seeing these fellow skaters was slim to none :)
I witnessed a definite reversal of roles with the boys doing this activity.  Daniel, who is usually the one who tends to be more hesitant and observant with new activities, jumped right in and was ready to fly solo pretty quickly. Anthony, who usually is the first one to jump right in with most things, showed fear and hesitation.  He was clearly frustrated  with his inability to get it as quickly as Daniel and shed tears as he clinged on to the rail (or me) for dear life.
Me: "Anthony, how you doing?"
Anthony: "I'm not doing so well!" (angry voice)
Anthony: "I'm getting so mad at you." (in response to me moving away from the rail)
A happy ending....by hour's end he was pretty comfortable and even smiling.

Look at you, Anthony!

Go, Daniel, go!

We've got the moves like Jagger! Wipeout!

The End!

December 25, 2012 - Noche Buena & Christmas

As the boys are getting older now, it is important for me that they start to understand the true meaning of Christmas.  I want them to enjoy all the magic of the season with Santa and our elf, but I also need them to understand, more importantly, that it is Jesus' birthday.  I hope that we can make this even clearer to them next year.

December 8, 2012 - Christmas Boulevard

Daddy was watching the Coto fight with Jimbo, so we took off to the magical land of Christmas Blvd. on the church grounds of EVFree in Brea.

November 28, 2012 - Universal Studios on a School Night

Being that I had the Arm & Hammer detergent appointment at 5:30 p.m. at Universal City Walk, we decided to put our studio passes to use and go for a couple of hours before the appt. We were able to do the Backlot Tour, Shrek, Transformers 2x, and get faces painted.

November 24, 2012 - Old Town Pasadena

Old Town Pasadena held a tree lighting family event. They had bounce houses, snow, crafts, cocoa and cookies, and real reindeer.  It was a bit of a drive, but fun for the kids.

November 23, 2012 - Thankful

There is so much to be thankful for in this little life of mine.  Glad to have the time off to take inventory of my many blessings.

November 11, 2012 - Dining With Our Veteran

Veterans Day (n.) is an official United States holiday which honors people who have served in armed service also known as veterans.  Today we celebrated our veteran at Applebees;they were saluting veterans with a free meal :)

November 2-4 - Vegas, Baby!

Daddy and Mercy decided to celebrate their 36 anniversary in Las Vegas.  Luckily for us, Vegas is only a few hours away.  The highlight of our mini-trip was seeing Jersey Boys with them :)
