Hi, ho, hi ho, hi, ho it's off to Tampa we go (went). We picked up Grandpa Gilster and north we went for our day trip to enjoy a Rays game. It again was a day of high humidity, rain, and thunderstorms. The great company, good Puerto Rican food, and Starbucks brightened the day. It was our first game at Tropicana Field. We were welcomed with free parking since we were among the first 100 cars. Our luck came to a halt as the rain came down in the parking lot :/ We got wet and entered this very cold covered stadium. I must say, the whole covered stadium concept is a foreign one to me. Being covered did come in handy since it was raining; nonetheless the jury is still out as to whether I like it or not. The thing that stood out most were the home runs. Somehow a home run in a covered stadium seems less dramatic :/

August 20, 2012 - Disney World
Daniel apparently hurt his foot more than he thought on Saturday. He was hobbling and unable to come with us to Disney World. I was a little worried to go with the boys without him, it being so much bigger a park than Disneyland. However, my dad and stepmom were going to meet us later, so I went knowing I'd have extra hands to help if needed.
It was your typical, hot and humid August day; the kind of humid where your bra sticks to you, sweats oozes from every pore, and glasses fog :/ Thundershowers were expected, too! As fate would have it, it poured down and thundered so bad that everyone had to deboard the tram for safety reasons. We found cover, but not before getting soaked. The upside, if one could be found, was that the ridiculous heat dried us off in no time. Duke, my stepmom's therapy dog in training, was the guest of honor. He was here on assignment:how to behave in huge crowds. He got an A+ for behavior and bladder control.
We got to see many of the attractions, enjoy funnel cake, see a princess parade, the Electrical Parade, and fireworks. The fun began to fade fast soon after the fireworks. Lots had to be done before catching my hotel shuttle. Daddy lost his glasses on Space Mountain, so we had to head to lost and found. The double stroller also needed to be returned. Then, exiting the park became a semi-nightmare. It began to pour as we were funneled toward the monorail. Anthony fell asleep and had to be carried. We almost missed the hotel shuttle. I saw the door close to our shuttle, and I tore away from my dad and began running with the now sleeping Daniel and half awake Anthony. I banged on the door and the driver let us in. I waved goodbye to my dad through the rain streaked door, sat the boys down, wrapped my arms around them, took a deep breath, and then cried. The woman across from me saw how overwhelmed I apparently had been and offered me a tissue. She even said, "It isn't always the happiest place on earth." I felt foolish for having the meltdown, for it wouldn't have been the end of the world if we had missed the shuttle. My dad had his car; however, he doesn't have toddler car seats in it. I knew I could call Daniel. He had an injured foot, but I know he would've picked us up. I just didn't want him doing that, especially in the rain. ~It all thankfully worked out in the end but not without a little drama. ~
August 19, 2012 - Resort Day
Decided to simply spend the day at our resort and kick back. Brandon and Gabriel came over sans Mommy since she was still not feeling well :/
Good sport Brandon being the magician's assistant |

August 16, 2012 - Hollywood Studios
August 15, 2012 - Veterans Memorial @ Freedom Park
We took the golf cart out for a ride to the village. Daddy and Daniel worked out while the boys and I enjoyed the pool. On the drive back, we stopped off at Freedom Park. This park has a veterans memorial dedicated to the servicemen from the various branches of the military. Some of the Solivita residents are veterans, like my dad, and have a little brick with their name and rank, branch of service, war served in, and years served. So proud of my dad for serving in a war that so many did not support . Daddy was called upon and answered the call; he did not dodge as so many did. I love you, Daddy!
November 24, 2012 - Where Do I Begin???
For the most part, I've been pretty good about keeping up on my blog. I stay motivated because I know that the cliche time flies is true! Our boys will be grown in the blink of an eye. My memory will falter but the pictures will tell the stories, and I will look back and thank God for taking the time to do this.
With that said, I'm trying to pin point exactly when the breakdown began; I guess it started with our trip to Florida. The return date did not allow me any down time before school began. Classroom setup was the very next day :/What can be viewed as poor planning was my best effort to get affordable tickets. C'est la vie.
So, here I am MONTHS behind on capturing life. This is not to say life hasn't been "captured." It has....just not into words on this blog. I promised myself that during this 9 day Thanksgiving vacation, I would engage in a blog bonanza. I am on Day 7 and am NOW starting. Better late than never!
