March 20, 2011 - St. Patrick's Weekend

 St. Patrick's Day landed on Thursday making it difficult for a working mamma to have fun with her kiddies on the actual day. Fortunately for us, less than sunny skies gave us the opportunity to stay in. We declared it St. Patrick's weekend and let the green times roll.

March 8, 2011 - Mardi Gras in Downtown Fullerton!

Downtown Fullerton had a fun, family event  yesterday in honor of Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday!) They had face painting and craft booths, jugglers, stilt walkers,  music, and a game truck!  Of course, hunger struck not too long after arriving. Considering it was Mardi Gras, a cajun meal was definitely apropos.  However, Italian food at the Spaghetti Factory  was what found its way into our bellies.

March 7, 2011 - Go Orioles!!!

My nephew-in-friendship, Mikey, had his first game today.  What else can an auntie, uncle, and cousins do but go support him on his big day.  It was too cute to see all the little players in their uniforms with smiles and excitement that only baseball could bring.  As I looked around, I got a silent lesson from the t-ball  parents who apparently have the sidelines thing down to an art with their blankets, food, etc.  Next game, we will be professional sideliners :) Sure can't wait until our boys are playing!

February 28, 2011 - San Francisco Weekend

In honor of Daniel's graduation and my 42nd birthday, we flew to San Francisco to celebrate.  It was a short weekend, but we managed to pack in a lot of fun.  Some of our activities included: Fisherman's Wharf,  dining in Little Italy and China Town, climbing Lombard Street, walking through the Ghiradelli chocolate factory, bicycling over the Golden Gate Bridge, touring AT&T park, riding several trolleys, and enjoying an Irish coffee at the Buena Vista as tradition dictates.

February 25, 2011 - Dad the Grad!

  

Completing a degree is hard enough without having to juggle the responsibilities of family and work.  My honey was granted his B.S. in Technical Management from DeVry University today.  Words cannot express how proud we are of him.
