December 5, 2010 - The First Weekend of December
Sunday Agenda: Breakfast with Santa at the La Habra Children's Museum and buying our Christmas tree.
December 2, 2010 - First Time to the Show....Toy Story 3 in 3D!
Maybe it was because I harbor full-time working mama guilt...maybe it was because I was avoiding grading business letters...maybe it was because Daddy had school work to do...or maybe it was D) All of the above! Whatever the reason, I soooo enjoyed taking the boys on a mid-week date to see Toy Story 3 in 3D. How cool that their first trip to the movies was to see the one they know so very well.
Toy Story Has Officially Taken Over Our Home
It started out with big boy underwear and a potty in the Toy Story theme. Then it became pajamas and Christmas tree floor decorations. Then there was Toy Story toothpaste, body wash, shampoo and Toy Story books. Action figures of Buzz and Woody were purchased but that was to help us survive the 5 hour flight home from Florida. The insanity has continued as I purchased bubble bath and Christmas stockings of our "Toystir" friends. Toystir, by the way, is how Anthony says Toy Story. He is so cute as he says, "Please, Mama, Toystir." How is it that something that was not even part of our vocabulary a month ago now rolls off my tongue multiple times daily? Almost forgot, the Toy Story 3 bug has bitten my E.W.M.S. friends. When they see anything Toy Story 3, some how it is purchased for the boys (e.g. cups, water bottles, plates, bowls, and utensils).

November 27, 2010 - Home for the Holiday
It is hard to believe, but I kept the secret of our surprise trip to Florida for over 2 months. Daniel was sure I would spill the beans; I secretly thought I would, too! I'm so glad I didn't, for the shock on their faces made my silence worth it. The days slipped by quickly as we drove all over spending time with Daniel's peeps and mine. The 25th arrived in a blink of an eye, and we had to say goodbye to 83 degrees weather and say hello to 59 degrees at LAX. Our flight had been delayed for 2 hours due to maintenance issues, but we were fortunate to come home to a delicious Thanksgiving dinner prepared by my mother-in-law. Putting aside the chilly weather, it is good to be home ;)
P.S. Happy birthday Mommy and Gilster! To all our family: We miss you already!!! Hasta la proxima :)

November 11, 2010 - Disneyland
Daniel had lots of school work to do, so he arranged for us to go to Disneyland via the magic of Cousin Giana. Josefina thankfully came with us to provide an extra pair of much needed hands. It was a good day!

November 5, 2010 - Viva Las Vegas
My dad and Mercy chose to celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary in Las Vegas. Vegas being only 3 1/2 - 4 hours away, we made plans to join in on the fun. Maddy and her family came as well. It is not the easiest place to be with 2.7 year old twins and an 8 month old baby, but we all managed. Our trip was short but sweet since we got to see some of the family.
Toddler Talk: Anthony has progressed to 4 word sentences: "Shoo bee my house!" "Mama/Dadda, where baby go?" To think I was impressed with, "I fall down."

November 2, 2010 - Election Day
As I went to the polls tonight to cast my votes for the various candidates and propositions, it saddened me that I didn't feel good about any of the candidates. Nontheless, I stood in my box voting because I firmly believe that if you don't vote, you don't have the right to complain. And, if you are not involved in the process, you are part of the problem. My voice may not be heard tonight, but I spoke.
October 31, 2010 - Halloween 2010 - Boo
Gee, was I ever thankful that Halloween finally graced us with its appearance. Why? Too many before the event events. Granted, this was my fault. However, this was the first year that the boys really got into it. They helped with the ginger bread house on Wednesday and attended the school harvest carnival on Thursday. Over the weekend, they attended 2 alternative nights where they got to participate in games, eat popcorn and cotton candy, and receive tons of treats. I really like that many local churches host these nights giving families a safe alternative to trick-or-treating. The only home we treated at was Titi Cindy's. :)

October 27, 2010 - Our First Ginger Bread House
It may be hard to believe, but Daniel nor I have ever made a ginger bread house. In theory, this was going to be an extremely fun 1st with the kids. It was fun to see the great smiles on the boys faces, but the clean up left something to be desired. Who knew this house would take the skill of an architect to build? Dan the Builder put it together with some help of Mommy the Icing Maker gluing the panels. As we did this, the boys enjoyed tranforming into professional icing eating twins. Note to self: Listen to Leah and buy the pre-assembled house and just decorate.
